Bio

Ashan Nissanka currently serves as the Director and CEO of Assetline Finance Limited, Sri Lanka and as a Non-Executive Director of David Pieris Holdings (Private) Limited. Having started the career as banker in a leading commercial Bank in Sri Lanka, he later shifted to LOLC Holdings & David Pieris Holdings (Private) Limited respectively. Ashan previously held the positions of Director & CEO for LOLC Finance PLC and Regional Director – International Operations (Philippines & Africa) at LOLC Holdings PLC. Having over 29 years of experience in the Banking and Finance sector with over 18 years of experience holding strategic leadership positions in Sri Lanka and overseas, he’s been continuously exploring new horizons by providing leadership across many countries including Philippines & in the African continent. Ashan is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA-UK), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM-UK) and a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Management (ICM-SL). He is also a Certified Management Accountant from the Institute of Certified Management Accountants, Australia (CMA- Australia), and holds a Banking Diploma from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL). Ashan is an Associate member of Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM). Further, he has an MBA from the Edith Cowan University, Western Australia. His standing in the industry is reflected in the multiple posts he has held in industry-related professional bodies serving as a Council Member of Certified Management Accountants, Australia - Local Branch Council, Deputy Chairman / Director to Financial Ombudsman Sri Lanka, Director of Finance House Association of Sri Lanka, Director of Leasing Association of Sri Lanka, Committee Member to Non-Banking Financial Institutions of the Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka. He currently serves as an Executive Committee Member of Sri Lanka - Philippines Business Council.
